Who: Christians who enjoy concentrated study in the Word to become more effective for Christ.
When: The Fall Semesters
Where: Sandstone Creek Club, Vail.
What: Twelve hours of prayer and Bible study to grow in Christ.

Learning

Format of the Retreat
Our primary purpose is to draw close to God and develop a hunger for Him. We are
concentrating on serving God by meditating on passages about Jesus Christ. The major portion of the study will be from the Bible. Some additional devotional handouts and videos will supplement our time together. There will be time for recreation, including segregated swimming in the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool.

College Credit for the Retreat
Full time Chambers College students (12 hour+) have the option of receiving one hour of college credit in Bible by submitting a 2-5 page summary paper, due September 30. There is no additional cost for the credit.

Chambers College graduates may receive one hour graduate level credit in Bible for an additional $25.00 by turning in a 4-6 page summary of the retreat. Other college graduates may receive graduate level credit by submitting a 4-6 page summary paper and paying an additional $50.

Travel Details
We will depart from Reformation Baptist Church Greeley at 3:30 p.m. We will arrive at Sandstone Creek Condominium in Vail around 6:30 p.m. Saturday we will leave Vail at 10:00 a.m. and should arrive in Greeley around 12:30.

What to bring:retreat

  • Toiletries
  • Bible, pen, notepad, concordance and topical Bible if you have it and a laptop if you wish.
  • Modest swimming suit and tennis shoes for the racquet ball court or tennis courts.
  • Layered clothing. Lows are in the 20-30’s in fall. We prefer you dress upscale casual for study and prayer times. We are a little more relaxed than in classes, but you should still dress sharp and modestly.
