Academic Philosophy and Methodology
Classes offered by the faculty of Chambers College are designed to challenge the student both intellectually and spiritually.
Christian thinking means thinking on the basis of things, not thinking in pious terms. With many the experience is right, the life of God is there, but there has been no thinking on the basis of things, and when things hit there is confusion. If we are going to think along Christian lines and know where to place our individual experiences, it is time we exercised ourselves intellectually as well as spiritually. Oswald Chambers, Conformed to His Image.
The Oxford University model of tutorial instruction is used extensively. Students will do guided study, research and problem solving, then participate in tutorial sessions to discuss their findings and conclusions. The instructor will guide them into additional areas for thought and research, and lecture on critical concepts and issues to help each student in his or her study.
